A few snippets of digital ephemera and recommendations I’ve enjoyed lately…
1/ NIKE RUNTOWN. Happy London Marathon weekend to all who celebrate. Have you got your #runcore look sorted? If not, get down to Nike’s RunTown pop-up concept boutique in Regent Street (below) for your hit of healthy hedonism. 2/ GRAYDON CARTER’S crib. “No, hoarding is when you save newspapers. What this is, is a collection of glorious finds from the past that just don’t fit my needs at present.” I love this Architectural Digest write-up of Graydon Carter’s Greenwich Village duplex (top and below) and all his house-y bits and bobs – trinket boxes! 3/ SOFIA COPPOLA’S style, dissected. An interesting breakdown on the Fashion People podcast, of Sofia Coppola’s rarefied yet somehow relatable style (below) – from Milk Fed to costume design. Listen here.
4/ What’s the deal with DONNI*?. Its founder Elyse Winter describes it as ‘Martha Stewart meets The Row’, while I’d say it’s more Sporty & Rich meets Land’s End. It’s going viral for its ‘cool mom’ appeal via its lifestyle-y look book (below). Some of the pieces seem overpriced for the perceivable quality but aesthetically, I can see the attraction. The boxer shorts* (below), stripy shirts* and pointelle vest tops* (think, Petit Bateau) caught my eye. Read more here.
